In cathodic protection of pipelines and tanks, measuring the true structure potential means interrupting the rectifier current for a moment and reading the potential at that instant. When a line is fed by several rectifiers, all of them must switch off and on at exactly the same time.
The CATHOSYNC interrupter keeps that timing from GPS satellite time, and each unit is built to order for the project.
